This course prepares you with information necessary to make informed decisions and reduces the confusion and worry of this major financial undertaking. Even if you don’t plan on purchasing in the near future, this class will help you build the solid financial foundation necessary for responsible home ownership and enable you to avoid any financial pitfalls.
Those attending all sessions will receive a Housing Education Certificate. This certificate is required by many lenders and down payment assistance programs to meet eligibility requirements for Affordable Home Buyer Programs.

A partnership with Nevada State Bank (NSB) provides consumers who have had a past banking problem an affordable opportunity for a Fresh Start™. To obtain registration materials visit any NSB branch. Our financial literacy class on checking account management is also required before opening the account. Take advantage of this opportunity to establish a new banking relationship. The registration form and a $20 fee is payable 2 business days in advance of the scheduled class.

Also learn how to build and maintain a favorable credit history to allow you to achieve a more satisfying lifestyle.
Introduction to Your Debt Management Plan (DMP)
We know new clients have many questions about their DMPs. This session will help DMP clients understand the benefits, expectations and responsibilities of the DMP partnership with CCCS. Attendance is a must for all DMP clients.
Have you filed bankruptcy since October 17, 2005? Every consumer must receive a Financial Literacy Certificate prior to discharge of their bankruptcy. Our agency has been approved by the Executive Office of the U. S. Trustee to provide the required course and is available in both a classroom setting and through a self-study Internet class. The required certificate will be issued upon completion of the course. To register, you may download the Debtor Education Registration, complete it and return it to our Corporate Office with a copy of your driver's license or ID along with the $50 per person fee (money order or personal check) or you may register and complete this course online at www.cccsnevada.org
In certain circumstances, you may be eligible to have your fee reduced or waived.
